About CleanBotPick
Keeping your floors clean shouldn't eat up your weekends. Robot vacuums promise to handle it for you -- but the market is flooded with options, from $150 budget pucks to $1,500 self-emptying flagships. That's why we built CleanBotPick.
Who Runs This Site
CleanBotPick is run by one person, not a newsroom. There is no editorial team, no test lab, and no roster of staff reviewers. Everything published here is desk research: reading spec sheets, putting comparable machines side by side, and working out what the numbers mean for a real floor plan.
We do not have hands-on access to the products covered on this site. We have not opened them, run them, or measured them. Where an article describes how a product behaves, that description comes from the manufacturer's own documentation, from published third-party results, or from owners who have written publicly about living with it -- never from testing of our own. Our methodology page sets out exactly which sources we use and how the CleanScore™ is calculated.
Our Mission
We help you pick the right robot vacuum and smart cleaning device for your home. Every product we recommend goes through a thorough evaluation process that considers cleaning performance, navigation, build quality, long-term costs, and real-world user experiences.
How We Review
Our review process is straightforward. We research manufacturer specifications, analyze independent test results where available, compare pricing and replacement-part costs (brushes, filters, bags), and aggregate documented owner feedback about long-term reliability. We do not carry out our own hands-on product testing, and our scores are derived from published specifications and pricing rather than lab trials. We look at the full picture -- not just the sticker price, but the total cost of ownership over years of use.
We focus on the metrics that actually matter: suction power (Pa), navigation and mapping accuracy, mopping capability, battery life, auto-empty and self-wash features, and noise levels. No fluff, no filler -- just the numbers and facts you need.
What We Don't Do
- We don't test products ourselves, in a lab or anywhere else.
- We don't accept free review units, and we don't take payment for a place in a ranking.
- We don't have a sponsored-content or paid-placement program.
- We don't present a score as a measurement. It is a comparison built from published specifications, and the methodology page is explicit about where that breaks down.
Editorial Independence
Our reviews are never influenced by manufacturers or advertisers. We do participate in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission when you purchase through our links. This comes at no extra cost to you and helps fund our continued research. Our recommendations are based solely on product merit. You can read our full affiliate disclosure for more details.
